Face Off KWASHATE is the hospitality professionals' challenge within the KWASHATE 2026 Awards. It is not a beauty pageant. It is a skills-based competition that tests the professional excellence of hotel and restaurant staff across Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage.
Contestants demonstrate service mastery in real-world scenarios, cooking challenges, and guest-handling tasks — dressed in the uniform of the department they represent.
It is not a beauty contest. Face Off KWASHATE celebrates skill, professionalism, and service excellence — not appearance.
It is not two titles. There is one winner per edition: the Face of KWASHATE. One winner. One national representative.
It is not limited to employees. Students studying hospitality, catering, tourism, and culinary programmes are eligible to compete.
It is a platform where the best hotel, restaurant, and catering professionals in Kwara State demonstrate why they deserve national recognition.
Contestants demonstrate core competencies in their department — front office check-in, housekeeping room setup, or F&B table service. Judges score on precision, speed, and guest interaction.
Contestants prepare a signature dish using local Kwara ingredients. They present their dish to the judging panel and explain the cultural story behind it.
Contestants handle real-world guest scenarios — complaints, VIP requests, cultural misunderstandings. Judges score on composure, professionalism, and problem-solving.

Applications are reviewed for eligibility. Shortlisted contestants are notified.
Shortlisted contestants compete across three challenge rounds on event day.
Judges announce the Face of KWASHATE at the Awards Gala.
The winner of Face Off KWASHATE is crowned the Face of KWASHATE — a title representing excellence in Kwara's hospitality sector.
The Face of KWASHATE becomes an official HTEA ambassador and represents Kwara State at the national final, competing for the title of Face of NIGHATE.

Currently enrolled in a hospitality, catering, tourism, or culinary programme.
Caterers, event chefs, tour guides, or independent hospitality operators.
Students and professionals compete on the same stage — because excellence has no seniority.
